The NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Bawku Central, Mr. Adamu Daramani-Sakande has described as unfair an Accra High Court decision disqualifying him from holding his Parliamentary Seat.
Speaking on Peace FM, Mr. Daramani disclosed that he has instructed his lawyers to initiate an appeal process against the verdict which he described as skewed. An Accra High Court yesterday disqualified the NPP-MP from holding his seat following a challenge by a herdsman that he holds dual citizenship.
Meanwhile, Mr. Daramani has dismissed the allegation, insisting he is indeed qualified. I dont hold dual citizenship and Im qualified to hold my seat. So my fans should relax because the seat is mine and I will take it back, he declared. In a related development, the National Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Mac Manu has disclosed that the Party will do its best to help Mr. Daramani appeal against the High Court ruling and take back his seat.
