The Deputy Minister of Health, Hon. Benjamin Kumbuor has assured the private sector that his ministry and government will give every support they need in the health sector to help shape the future of medical imaging diagnostics in Ghana.
Speaking at the launch of Akai House Clinic and X-ray equipment in Accra, Hon. Kumbuor said there has been a dramatic rise in the risk factors leading to cardiovascular disease such as hypertension, diabetes and obesity in Ghana, hence the introduction of such machines and technology will help doctors reach quick and accurate diagnosis without the need for invasive diagnostic procedures.
Hon. Benjamin Kumbour said that it is the wish of government that health care in Ghana take a significant leap to address the needs of Ghanaians completely. He explained the benefits of improved technology in the health sector in an interview with Peace FM.
Dr. Adrian Oddoye, the medical Director of the clinic assured Ghanaians of good service and commitment. He said the clinic is doing all it can to have access to the national health Insurance Scheme to be able to attend to the needs of the needy in the society
