The New Patriotic Partys flagbearer in the 2008 presidential election, Nana Akufo Addo has described the ruling NDC as a total failure.
He said the Mills led administration has been very disappointing in its performance since it assumed office over a year ago. Nana Addo, cited rising cost of goods on the market as ample testimony of the failure of the NDC government.
He urged all Ghanaians to reject the NDC come 2012 since, according to him; the Mills administration has not fulfilled any of its electoral promises. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo made these comment when he paid a visit to the Odododiodio constituency in the company of former Ghanaian Ambassador to Serbia Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe.
During the unannounced visit, scores of NPP supporters were seen displaying open support for Nana Addos presidential ambitions for a second time.
Most of the speakers, including Dr Nyaho Tamakloe took a swipe at the NDC saying President Mills and the NDC have achieved virtually nothing since assuming office. According to him the NDC administration is discriminating against persons they perceive as NPP members in the country.
He called on the supporters and sympathizers of the NPP, to ensure that the NDC is called to order through the ballot box come 2012 since, to him, the Mills administrations promise of a better Ghana has totally flopped.
They spoke plenty; if we come we will do this, we will do that there will be a so called better Ghana. Is this the better Ghana they promised? Is this the better Ghana, how much is kenkey sold now? Was that how it was sold when we left office? Is this the better Ghana that we were promised? When there is so much hunger and deprivation in our country? Nana Addo questioned
He added that the only political party capable of solving and improving the lives of Ghanaians is the opposition NPP.
"Response"

Meanwhile in a sharp rebuttal, a Deputy Minister of Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has rubbished the claims of Nana Akuffo Addo saying that Nana Addo is just expressing his opinion which is his constitutional right.
He said considering the amount of debt the NDC inherited from the NPP, the NDC has done a lot to improve and stabilize the economy contrary to the assertions of Nana Addo.
According to the Deputy Information Minister, the NDC has created more jobs since it assumed office in January 2009 and the government is working hard to improve the lives of Ghanaians and also achieve the better Ghana agenda that it promised the people of Ghana in its manifesto.
