Former President Jerry John Rawlings has been asked to forgive and forget any party member that might have offended him.

Mr Djanie Neequaye Magoah, Chairman of the Intimate Club, a group aligned to the National Democratic Congress, (NDC) made the appeal at a meeting of the group at Tema Community 2, according to a statement issued by Club and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Friday.
The statement lauded the former president, who is also the founder of the NDC, for his efforts and good work, which had brought the Party to where it was today, and appealed to him to cooperate with the party for unity.

Mr Magoah appealed to the NDC founder to forget about the outcome of the Sunyani Congress and urged him to organise a “unity meeting” with party members to iron out differences and strengthen the party for the 2012 elections.

He said all members must support the government to achieve its targets adding, President John Evans Atta Mills meant well for the country and that “if he is able to complete projects he has started they will create jobs in the country”.
He advised Ministers of State and Heads of Departments to make time for visitors in their offices rather than keep them waiting for long periods.

Mr Magoah called on party members to welcome back those who broke away from the party but were now returning saying, “we need more people to strengthen the party”.
