Information reaching DAILY GUIDE indicates that many people are rushing to secure New Patriotic Party (NPP) cards as a result of the ‘winning souls’ style adopted by the party in the Sunyani West Constituency of the Brong Ahafo region.
According to a source, new members of the party have been trooping to the party’s office for membership cards everyday in an unprecedented manner.
This situation, the paper learnt, has boosted the morale of the party members to intensify the door-to-door campaign to win more souls for the party.
The paper gathered that the party has promised to capture all 24 seats in the Brong Ahafo region in order to win the presidential polls come 2012.
When contacted, the Assistant Regional Secretary of the NPP, Alfred Tuah-Yeboah said he was excited about the development in the Sunyani West Constituency, adding that the party would add the ‘winning souls’ to its campaign strategies.
Mr. Tuah-Yeboah urged the youth to continue the campaign, saying the regional executives will do everything possible to encourage them.
He congratulated supporters who have taken the bold decision to register as members of the party, and called on them to join the campaign to bring the party back to power in 2012.
The Assistant Regional Secretary told the members not to be frustrated by the insults on the airwaves, but focus on the next general elections.
He noted that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government is finding it difficult to develop the region, stressing that the NPP will bring more development projects when it assumes power.
He stated that since the NDC assumed office in 2009 Ghanaians have been facing hardship due to the bad economic policies of the government.
Mr. Tuah-Yeboah urged them to take advantage of every opportunity they get to inform the citizenry about the good policies of the NPP.
