A deputy Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Samuel Awuku, has slammed Director of Communications at the Presidency, Koku Anyidoho, describing him as a “skillful liar”.
“Doctor Koku Anyidoho…I would want to call him a doctor because if it is that you are after a Communications Director at the presidency who is good at telling lies, look no further than him,” Awuku claimed.
According to him, the mouthpiece of the government at the Castle is so adept in telling lies and spewing forth propaganda that the president is sometimes compelled to buy into the glaring deceit.
“This is the kind of lies I am talking about…when you have people like that who will scheme and aid the president in buying into propaganda and lies, this is what happens,” he said.
Speaking on Accra-based OmanFM, Awuku said he was pleasantly surprised to hear the Director of Communications at the Presidency accusing him (Awuku) of stage-managing the theft of his (Awuku’s) laptop when his car was broken into a couple of weeks ago.
“When I was attacked and my laptop was stolen, he went to sit on a radio station in Kumasi and alleged that it was Sammy Awuku himself who went to hid somewhere and threw stones at his car breaking the side screen in the process. Meanwhile, I was somewhere eating when the incident happened, but he was so adamant that I was the cause,” he said.
To him, Koku Anyidoho, is a “dangerous liar” and alluded to a recent interview he (Anyidoho) granted Citi FM on the construction of the proposed University to be cited in the Volta Region, and rhetorically asked whether it is possible for a University to open for admission when forms are not even readily available.
“He told us all that admission for Volta University will begin in September. But as I speak now, we are reliably informed that where the president performed the flamboyant sod-cutting the land has been taken over by weeds,” Awuku claimed.
