President John Evans Atta Mills left Accra for the United States of America and Canada on a two-week official visit Saturday.
Briefing journalists at a pre-departure ceremony at the Jubilee Lounge of the Kotoka International Airport (KIA), the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Mr Koku Anyidoho, said President Mills was expected to hold bilateral talks with Ban Ki Moon, the Secretary General of the United Nations.
The second leg of the President�s trip would take him to Canada, where he is scheduled to meet the Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Joseph Harper, and the country�s captains of industry. The President, as part of his itinerary, is also scheduled to meet the Ghanaian community in Canada.
The President would take a two-week vacation in the U.S, upon the completion of his official assignments.
