The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service is on the heels of another Member of Parliament over the infamous Alfred Woyome judgment debt scandal.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) legislator for the Aburi-Nsawam constituency, Hon. O. B Amoah, was arrested on Sunday night, charged with causing financial loss to the state and released on GhC 20 million police inquiry bail on Monday afternoon.
Citifmonline. com can confirm that the police served a letter on the Speaker of Parliament, Joyce Bamford Addo, as early as February 7 requesting the assistance of Hon. Amoah in the ongoing investigations into the GhC 51 million judgment debt scandal.
However, our parliament sources stated that another letter was subsequently written to the House to revoke the earlier one, making it difficult for the leadership of the House to understand why the law enforcement agency went ahead to arrest the opposition lawmaker at this Parakuo Estates residence, near Dome.
Citifmonline. coms sources reveal that another letter has been written to the Speaker requesting the assistance of another MP, who served as a minister during the Kufuor administration.
