The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has rubbished claims by its suspended deputy General Secretary, Kofi Adams, that the General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, is the main cause of the wrangling in the party.
Mr Asiedu Nketiah in a recent interview called on members of the NDC to declare positive defiance against the Rawlingses.
But Kofi Adams, who speaks for the former President warned at a news conference on Thursday that Mr. Rawlings will respond in equal measure, to any insults from the General Secretary as well as other party executives or government officials.
But the Secretary to the Greater Accra regional branch of the party, Aristo Aryee, told XYZ News Mr Adams has a distorted view of the happenings in the NDC.
NDC is not in a ditch. We are ruling and from all indications we are doing very well. Comparatively we doing better than Kufuors government did.
He said the structures of the party are working properly as required and that the view that the party is crumbling is based on an ignorant assessment of the situation.
He stressed that anyone who says the NDC is in a ditch does not know what he is saying.
