President John Evans Atta Mills on Wednesday visited the party headquarters of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Accra for a meeting with party executives on pertinent party and national issues.
The President, looking hale and hearty, arrived at the headquarters at exactly 1100 hours, to a rousing welcome of music, drumming, dancing, and the recounting of his achievements in the three and a half year administration.
The meeting between the President and the party executives came off two days after his return from a routine medical check-up in the United States of America.
Details of the meeting were not disclosed, but it was believed that the meeting touched on current party and national issues ahead of the start of the campaign for the 2012 general election.
A source close to the meeting told the GNA that President Mills psyched the executives up for an effective campaign for the party to retain power in the upcoming elections.
