The EGLE Party has formally announced the endorsement of President John Dramani Mahama as its flagbearer.
General Secretary of the party, Tismark Kojo Mbiah, says EGLE shares the same vision with the NDC. He adds that his party has always been a traditional ally of the ruling party.
The party said the decision was taken due to the good works of the NDC government over the past three and a half years and with the belief of its ability to deliver when given another term of office.
Addressing the press on Thursday, Mr Tismack Kojo Mbiah, General Secretary of the Eagle Party, said the efforts of the Party was a contributory factor which ensured the defeat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the last elections.
He said “due to good planning, the NYEP is aiming at recruiting 692,000 more people for its 15 modules as well expanding the school feeding programme to cover an additional 500,000 pupils.”
Mr Mbiah said “the free SHS Campaign being touted by the NPP is nothing but a tool for electoral advantage and political opportunism” saying the NPP is not committed to investment in the social sector in any way comparable to the NDC.
Mr. Mbiah He praised the NDC for its dedication to the infrastructural development in the educational sector.
