The PNC presidential candidate, Hassan Ayariga, has called on the people of Bawku to continue to maintain the peace the area is currently enjoying.
He has also called on all the political parties contesting the December elections not to politicise issues in Bawku since no one can preside over a divided nation.
Speaking to journalists as part of his campaign tour to Bawku, Mr Ayariga said it is heart-warming to see political campaigning resume in the Bawku municipality because for the past four years no political activity was allowed because of the conflict.
Mr Ayariga further explained his rational for calling for the separation of economic power from political power.
