‘Let My Vote Count Alliance’ Leader A leading member of the Let My Vote Count Alliance has told Citi News he lives in perpetual fear following attempts on his life by unknown assailants.
Reports indicate that Mr Asante was threatened on Friday by an unknown gunman at his residence in Mataheko, Tema.
Speaking to Citi News David Asante explained "at exactly 11:45 pm on Friday night we heard series of gunshots in front of our main gate. It resonated for about four to five times."
According to him his wife drew his attention to the fact that they were under attack and called for police protection.
He questioned why an armed robber would come and stand in front of his gate in a bid to kill him.
"The words of the attacker were if you are a man come out, I will butcher you, I kill you double double. When did you come?” he indicated.
Although he tried to figure out who it was by listening attentively he could not because he was gripped with fear. Meanwhile, the Tema Mataheko Police has commenced investigations into the alleged attack.
