Convener for the Forum for Governance and Justice, Dr Clement Apaak, has expressed satisfaction at the presidents choice of deputy ministers.
I think that these four choices are on point, he said.
President John Dramani Mahama on Friday nominated four persons as deputy ministers designate.
Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine is heading for the Ministry of Justice and Attorney-Generals Department, Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Ministry of Education and Felix Kwakye Ofosu for the Ministry of Information.
Speaking on Citi FM on Friday, Dr Apaak indicated that although expectations were high, the limited list is as a result of the large number of competent people the president had to choose from, contrary to speculations that there is confusion in the governing party.
Speaking on expertise and competence, Dr Apaak stated that the deputy minister designate for Justice and Attorney-Generals Department, Dr. Dominic Ayine, had a strong character which would be needed at the AGs department.
Dominic will be capable of complementing the efforts of the minister in-charge and other stakeholders to try and introduce reforms to ensure that justice indeed is one that is drawn from the people and applied on their behalf, the pro government group added.
To him, Felix Kwakye Ofosu who is heading for the Ministry of Information would be a perfect complement to the Information Minister, Mahama Ayariga whereas Mr. Okudjeto Ablakwa who is heading for the Education Ministry will be very valuable to that sector.
