A member of the communication team of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Divine Nkrumah, believes President John Dramani Mahama was ill-informed when he stated recently that most format for radio morning show programs are 'lazy.
To him, newspaper review on radio is the most effective program which put the government on its toes.
Divine Nkrumah, who is also the PPP's National Youth Organizer, stressed that media program always gives room for clarification if anything happens in an institution for the experts to address the issue; adding that politics cannot be exempted from the issues discussed on radio because after a project has been introduced by the expertise, government officials are responsible for collecting the taxes emanating from it.
Speaking on Okay FM, he indicated that the President does not want any radio station to talk about political issues because the things which are discussed do not favor his government; stating that before he became a Vice Presidential candidate, he used to do politics on radio and television.
He hinted that President Mahama is facing a lot of problems in the country; adding that the activities of the media is making him unpopular and would want the media to focus on something else.
According to the PPP communicator, through the media, Ghanaians have known the dubious monies which were given to Alfred Woyome; stressing that the money which has been pumped into the Guinea fowl project would not have reached Ghanaians if the media had chosen not to discuss it.
if the President wants to talk about experts, then he should know that he is not there because of his expertise but by chance, he said.
He recounted that the President with his failure in administration does not want the media to expose him, stressing that we are here to talk about the use of the taxes which are collected by politicians and not by experts.
