KPMG, the audit firm appointed by the Supreme Court to audit pink sheets submitted by the petitioners challenging results of the December 2012 presidential election has said it will not allow itself to be pressurised into releasing the results of its audit prematurely.

According to the firm, the media did not commission it and thus had no right to push for an early release of any information.

In an interview with Citi News a senior partner of the company, Joe Winful said his outfit was in the process of writing its report on the counting of the pink sheets.

We are in the process of doing that, the results is in progress, the only time we can say it is completed is when the report is submitted.

We will not put pressure on ourselves so that when there is an error they tell us that because the media was pressurizing us weve made mistakes; the media did not commission us to do any job for them.

We have to take our time and do it and when we finish we will let the Supreme Court know, he added.

KPMG is the accounting and audit firm that has been instructed by the Supreme Court to audit the pink sheets in the ongoing election case.
