The projects, which is being undertaken by the Government at a cost GH¢7.8 million, include Tudu-Accra Polytechnic road, Adabraka-Odawna Garages road and drainage works at Osu Ringway Estate and Beafa Rock roads.

Mr Ashitey said the project was in fulfilment of Government's campaign promise to advance the Better Ghana Agenda, to improve the lives of the people.

He expressed dissatisfaction about the way and manner roads are used by food vendors and other traders.

He appealed to the traders to move away from the roads in order to ensure the free flow of vehicular traffic and to also guarantee their safety.

Mr Ashitey also asked the Sub-Metro Office of the Accra Metropolitan Authority to ensure the safety, orderliness and free flow of traffic.

Mr Kofi Nti Appiagyei, an Official of the Department of Urban Roads at the Accra Metropolitan Roads Department, said upon completion the Odawna drainage system project would help to reduce the perennial flooding in the area.

He said the Osu Ringway and Beafa Rock project had come to a halt because of the recent rains in Accra, which interrupted the work of the contractor.
