The National Women's Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita De Soso has allegedly tagged concerned Ghanaians based in the United Kingdom (UK) who demonstrated against President John Dramani Mahama’s recent visit to the UK as New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters.

According to her, the insufferable behavior by the alleged NPP supporters triggered the UK to impose the controversial new UK Immigration policy which ranked Ghana among the high-risk countries to deposit a whooping amount of Ł3,000 as bond before entering into UK.

She believes the demonstration by the UK-based Ghanaians sends an indication that Ghanaians living abroad are in comfort due to the good governance of President Mahama so the bond by the UK is to articulate how ungrateful Ghanaians are to demonstrate against the Mahama government.

“This Ł3,000 (90million) bond tells us that if you are gifted with a good leader and you don’t appreciate, God finds ways and means to punish you severely. President Mahama is truly ordained by God,” she said

UK broke the news this week of a new security policy which is set to be piloted in November for people from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Ghana.

An amount of Ł3,000 will be deposited as bond and will be refunded once visitors make a return to their various countries.

This according to UK government is to prevent high-risk countries, including Ghana from overstaying their visas.

But in an interview with OKAY FM, Anita De Soso said “Is it not the NPP who demonstrated in UK? They are the cause of this. How come the whole of Africa - Ghana be named alongside Nigeria…why? What have we done wrong as Ghanaians? The NPP have demonstrated against President Mahama for the third time in less than a year. Is this fair? Do they (NPP) think the UK officials do not monitor issues concerning Ghana? - well they do,” she opined.

“The new policy is purely because of the demonstration orchestrated by the NPP. Ghanaians don’t respect the UK, if they do, they would have behaved. This is the result of their bad behaviour”,she added.
