A careful analysis of the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Agency (GYEEDA) report indicates five investigative bodies were set up to look into the financial malfeasance at the Secretariat yet no clear punitive action have been prescribed against the indicted officers claims a member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Asante Yeboah.

A couple of weeks ago, government came out with an Action Paper following a detailed study of the recommendations and punitive measures recommended by the initial investigative body and the PV Obeng Committee.

Just this Tuesday, President Mahama, addressing a gathering of Muslims at the Independence Square, Accra, to mark Eid ul-Adha celebrations, revealed that persons indicted in the infamous GYEEDA report, are being investigated by the Economic and Organized Crimes Office (EOCO) and the police Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

The president further disclosed that dockets will be prepared on those found to have engaged in any malfeasance and given to the Attorney General in order that they will be prosecuted.

But speaking on the matter on Okay fm, the NPP activist wondered why despite the recommendations indicated by all investigative bodies, those implicated in the report have not been prosecuted.

With this GYEEDA report, five investigative bodies have delved into the case beginning with Hon. Abuga Peles committee which came up with some findings of diversion of state funds to private accounts. Kofi Humado too set up a committee on the same GYEEDA case and also came up with a report but nothing constructive happened with the reportwe have seen National Securitys findings on GYEEDA going waste as well as Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrahs and PV Obengs committee, he analyzed.

To him, the Mahama led-administration appears to be stalling and not prepared to get to the bottom of the GYEEDA rot.

.President Mahama for me is not ready to deal with the GYEEDA report that is why he is coming up with many investigative bodiesit is one of the known political gimmicks of NDC to befuddle Ghanaians in order to cover up for those who have misappropriated state funds, he opined.
