The national executives of the NPP have released a timetable for the election of executives, from polling station to the national level, beginning from November 2013 and ending in March 2014.

Although nominations have not been officially opened, a number of persons including the incumbent, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John have indicated their intention to vie for the office of General Secretary.

Other party members who have announced their intention include Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, Captain Nkrabeah Effah Dartey (Rtd), Stephen Kwaku Balado Manu, and Nana Akomea.
