The hypocrisy and double-standards in our national discourse is becoming nauseating. What is even more worrisome is that these two cankers are being championed by the so-called moral society.
With the so-called vikileaks tape came the announcement of the dismissal of the lady at the centre of the controversy, Victoria Hammah. While many have applauded the President’s swift action to ensure that government focus is not distracted, the moral society is at it again, displaying hypocrisy and double-standards by asking the President to give reasons why he dismissed Vicky Hammah as Deputy Communications Minister.
Were those who are asking President John Mahama to give reasons for dismissing Victoria Hammah not in this country when the then President Kufuor dismissed Kwamena Bartels, Dan Botwe and Kwabena Agyepong without any explanation. Why did they not ask President Kufuor to give reasons for his action? Or is it that these so-called moral society members were leaving on Pluto then?
