The Former Flagbearer of the People's National Convention PNC, Dr Edward Mahama has categorically denied media reports that he has quit active politics.
Dr Mahama emphasised that he will neither contest for the flagbearer nor national Chairman of the PNC.
Dr Edward Mahama said this in an interview with Radio Ghana in Kumasi.
Commenting on the governance of the state, Dr Mahama said the country needs selfless, dynamic and visionary leaders devoid of partisan politics on issues of national interest, to bring about the needed transformation.
This, he said, motivated him to contest the national elections four consecutive times but was rejected.
On his future political aspiration, Dr Mahama said he will make this known at the appropriate time.
He asked the NDC and NPP to stop the blame game on issues relating to the economy and instead seek a bi-partisan approach to national issues.
