It is said that, no matter how nicely a goat dressed, it still remains a goat. In the aftermath of the arrest of Eric Amoateng, (in 2005), the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is bracing itself up for another narcotic embarrassment in the run-up to 2016 elections.

As reported in The Informer earlier, one of NPP’s leading financiers has been arrested by intelligence agencies in the United Kingdom (UK), for narcotic trafficking.

According to our UK intelligence sources, the person arrested (name withheld), contributed not less than $2 million to the NPP’s 2012 election campaign.

The Informer has listened to a very damning tape recording of conversation he had in the Twi language with an alleged compliance (both in detention).

Readers should stay tuned for more revelations on the arrest of this hotelier NPP financier who is singing like parrot in detention in the United Kingdom (UK).

To refresh the minds of readers, we reproduce the story published earlier as a backgrounder.

Another NPP Financier Busted In UK – For Drug Trafficking

Our UK Intelligence Sources

History is said to be repeating itself, as the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) heads for another “glorious award” of attracting yet another attention of the international press and the world at large, for a wrong reason.

Even before Ghana goes to polls in 2016, the NPP had had its electoral fortunes reduced to ground zero, as it records another casualty, who according to The Informer’s UK intelligence sources, is in the firm grips of the intelligence agencies of the United Kingdom – UK. The ‘victim’ (name withheld), who is on record to have bankrolled the NPP 2012 campaign with $2 million, was picked up by the UK intelligence agencies at Heathrow International Airport when he tried to smuggle a substantial quantity of a substance believed to be cocaine, into that country.

He is said to have been on the radar of the UK intelligence agencies. The captive owns a very plush hotel facility at a very strategic location in Accra.

It would be recalled that the NPP in 2005 suffered similar fate when its Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkoranza North, Eric Amoateng, was arrested in the United States of America’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, with a friend one Nii Okai Adjei.

Mr. Eric Amoateng was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment after being found guilty in March 2007, and expected to be released in July this year.
