For some months now, the University Teachers Association of Ghana has embarked on a nationwide strike over non-payment of their Book and Research Allowance by government.
Their action has stalled educational activities and this reminds the New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Asunafo North constituency, Hon. Robert Safo Mensah, of how a similar action by them rendered him “useless” as a student in the past.
Speaking on UTV’s Adekye Nsroma, the NPP MP recounted how he had to complete university in 1995 but had to do that in 1996 because his lecturers were on strike for nine (9) months.
