The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party [NPP], Bernard Antwi Boasiako has said convicted District Chief Executive [DCE] of Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Bossman Osei - Hyiamang who has been released from the Maximum Security Prison must be fired with immediate effect.
He explained that, matters which led to the DCE’s incarceration clearly shows how incompetent Hon. Bossman is after describing him a “disrespectful government executive”.
According to him, President John Dramani Mahama must stand on his authority to dismiss the now freed DCE from his government if “truly he [President Mahama] means business].
Speaking on OKAY FM’s Ade Akye Abia programme, the NPP regional chair, popularly known as “Chairman Wontumi” opined that, Hon. Bossman Osei – Hyiamang demeanor to the court that jailed him must be disparaged by all so as such will not repeat itself in future.
“He disrespected a whole court...I think he is fit to occupy any public position again. He [Bossman Osei-Hyiamang] has no dignity left to lead people, he has no respect for the court. He must be sacked,” he said.
Hon. Bossman Osei – Hyiamang Jnr. has been released from the Maximum Security Prison after serving 14 days for assaulting a bailiff.
The DCE was sentenced to jail by the Cape Coast High Court for verbally assaulting a bailiff who was sent to serve him summons over a demolition exercise he initiated on a market at Twifo Praso despite a stay of execution.
According to the DCE, he was not ashamed to be imprisoned since he was ensuring that his people get their fair share of development.
