Francis Addai Nimo, a defeated aspirant for the flagbearer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has described himself as the "David" in the party.
According to him, even before the entire voting process in the party's primaries on Saturday, October 18 begun; he was already poised to contest the flagbearership slot.
Addressing the media after conceding to three-time flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Francis Addai Nimo expressed confidence in his persona.
Without any shred of doubt, he indicated that though his defeat comes as a surprise to him and his team, he however do not regret for contesting the position.
“I describe myself as a David in the party at the moment. And so, there is also a time that surprises do occur and I was confident of myself when the process begun on June 6. When I picked my form, there were doubts about my capabilities of going through the whole process but I knew I was confident of going to the end of the process," he said.
