After several years of making huge profits on the sweat of Ghanaians, it would be disastrous for government to allow AngloGold Ashanti to drastically reduce its staff strength from 6,000 to 700, Chairman Ade Coker has warned.
The company is to spent a total of $220,000 on the redundancy exercise in a package which has been described as one of the best in the country, but the Greater Regional Chairman for the NDC foresees an economic disaster within the mining enclave should government allow them to carry on with that decision.
