Former Executive Director of Think Tank, Danquah Institute (DI) has ridiculed President John Dramani Mahama for his constant travels.
Asare 'Gabby' Otchere-Darko in a Twitter post, sarcastically thanked the President for spending some time with Ghanaians in the course of this week.
I hear President Mahama's one week stay in Ghana comes to an end. We thank him for always finding the time in his busy international schedule to swing by he posted on his official Twitter handle.
Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe-Adjaho announced in Parliament yesterday that the first gentleman of the land will leave Accra Sunday to the Vatican City on an official visit and will return on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.
The visit would include a meeting with Pope Francis, some government communicators have suggested.
President Mahama recently returned from trips abroad and was in Burkina Faso on Wednesday as head of an ECOWAS delegation to the crisis-hit West African country.
Gabby is not alone in his criticism of the President. MP for Manhyiia, Matthew Opoku Prempeh recently claimed that the President has broken the record of Presidential travels in Ghana.
President Mahama has broken the record of presidential travels abroad in the history of Ghana. In the last three months, he is virtually out of the country every week yet Ghanaians are languishing in abject poverty, he said.
Fellow NPP communicator, Charles Nii Teiko Tagoe Jnr who commented on the post described President Mahama as a visiting President to Ghana.
You mean our visiting President?, he asked rhetorically.
