Former first lady, Theresa Kufuor, widely speculated to have died is alive and kicking after all, according to her husband's spokesperson Frank Agyekum.
The purported death of the wife of former President Kufuor was reported by ghananation.com, a news website and eventually went viral on social media platforms. The rumours stated circulating on Tuesday but got to a crescendo yesterday, with the little known ghananation.com giving some oxygen of credibility with its inaccurate publication.
However, the website could not tell the cause of the supposed death and where the incident happened. It promised to give details later. In reaction to the buzz as at press time yesterday, Mr. Frank Agyekum vehemently denied the report. Mrs. Theresa Kufuor is still alive", he told Daily Guide when reached for comment.
According to him, the former first lady was "healthy and kicking". He continued: "Mrs. Kufuor is there and there is nothing wrong with her. Whoever is fuelling this rumour should be ashamed of himself. There is no truth in the story."
He urged the general public not to give credence to the rumour being peddled by ghananation.com.
Meanwhile, the speculation had remained a hot topic on social with people asking about her whereabouts.
