Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is warning of dire consequences if former Member of Parliament for Ekumfi, George Kuntu Blankson does not stop inciting the youth in the area against the sitting MP, Abeiku Crenstil.
Bernard Allotey Jacobs stated unequivocally that the former MP who is re-launching his parliamentary career will not be allowed to contest the primaries if the status quo remains.
Kuntu Blankson is said to be undermining the sitting MP to give him advantage ahead of the NDC’s parliamentary primaries.
These have been condemned by the regional executives and are demanding a written apology from Kuntu.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday, Allotey Jacobs said they owe it a duty to protect any sitting MP to enable the NDC consolidate the seat.
We will deal with anyone who undermines a sitting MP and Kuntu has gone against the rules of the game so the necessary sanctions will be applied if he fails to apologize,” he warned.
Allotey Jacobs noted that until Kuntu Blankson renders a written apology to the regional executives, he will be considered a persona non grata.
“We will not spare the rod and spoil the child because if we allow this indiscipline to persists, it could cause an implosion,” he stressed.
