Members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other sympathisers are currently at the Obra Spot jeering up to embark on the Won Gbo demonstration.
Prior to today, the police service allegedly tried to get a court injunction to restrain the party from embarking on the demonstration.
However, according to the General Secretary of the party, the court ruled in favour of the NPP.
The police service has explained that they went to court to ensure that the party use the approved routes for the demonstration.
The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) speaking in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi Wednesday morning, he expressed disappointment in the attitude of the police towards the demonstration and thanked the court for ruling in their favour.
I am disappointed but we thank the court for their ruling...businesses are collapsing, the economy is in shambles, I think it is important for our government; not only this government to realize that Ghanaians are not interested in theatricswe need action, he said.
