A member of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), Charles Owusu says Ghana would be spared any further economic crisis if President Mahama is reshuffled.
The PPP man was reacting to the latest changes the president has made to his ministers and cabinet members.
President Mahama on Saturday March 14, 2015 reshuffled some of the ministers and completely took out others, as he sought to improve the conduct of government business, with regard, especially, to the country's economy.
According to some experts, some of the changes may reflect positively or negatively on the perception that Mr Mahama had put his foot on the pedal and was willing to bring about the kind of change that would drive his Better Ghana Agenda, even in the face of the challenges confronting the country.
Speaking on Adom FM, Mr. Owusu however insisted that the president’s reshuffle will neither add nor subtract anything from the poor economic situation the country is currently facing, as well as the frequent power outages
He accused President Mahama of taking Ghanaians for granted.
“Reshuffling ministers each and every year shows how the president lacks ideas. Though some ministers will do well, others will not bring any change to their positions. The best person to be reshuffled is President Mahama himself because he is short of ideas” .
