A Journalism Lecturer with the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) has promised to bring the New Patriotic Party (NPP) back to power in 2016 on condition that he becomes a parliamentary candidate.
Alex Kwadwo Boateng is promising to increase NPP votes if delegates in the party elect him as parliamentary candidate.
“With effective communication, I will use experience and strategy to garner more votes and widen the margin between NPP and NDC”, he explained.
He was speaking to rawgist.com reporter; Kwabena Danso Dapaah after his turn at the party’s parliamentary vetting.
Alex Kwadwo Boateng is among four hopefuls seeking to lead the Effiduase Asokore constituency in the Ashanti Region.
The Public Relations and Advertising Lecturer also tells this reporter he has chosen to abandon the classroom for politics because his constituents lack infrastructural development.
“I want to be in parliament to lobby on behalf of the constituents and Ghanaians who need development”
