The Upper East Regional Financial Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Anthony Namoo says the party has put on hold all regional party activities including meetings, for a week to mourn its late regional chairman, Alhaji Adams Mahama.
He was buried on Saturday after he died from a suspected acid attack on him.
According to Anthony Namoo, officially the party had not been informed of any emergency meeting to deliberate on whether or not to pass a vote of no confidence in the National Chairman, Mr. Paul Afoko and the General Secretary, Mr. Kwabena Agyapong.
He further observed that if anything at all such matters would be discussed at the national level, stressing that "for now we are in a state of mourning".
