Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party [NPP], Nana Ohene Ntow has said the party he once led is now setting bad examples in Ghanas political circle.
He explained that recent infighting in the party could be avoidable after rubbishing calls by the partys leadership including the minority in parliament for national chairman, Paul Afoko and general secretary, Kwabena Agyepong to step aside.
The party is setting a dangerous precedent which can eat us up as a party. NPP has got to be careful, he said in an interview with Citi FM.
He further noted that asking the two national executives to step aside is null and void and unprecedented.
His comment follows the letter by the minority in parliament who joined the calls asking the partys duo to step down from their respective positions following the death of the partys Upper East Regional Chairman.
However, the former chief scribe of the elephant family firmly maintained that the letter from the Minority is subservient to the constitution of the NPP.
