A middle aged man has been arrested at the Ablekuma North constituency in the Greater Accra region for impersonating a dead man.
According to reports, the unknown man turned up at the polling station to cast his ballots in the ongoing parliamentary primaries with details of a delegate who had died.
Although photos on the ID card and that of the register matched, it was however identified that the name in the register belonged to a member of the party who had died earlier this year.
Some constituency executives who knew the deceased alerted to police and the imposter was apprehended.
He is currently at the Odorkor police station pending investigations.
