A member of the Communications Team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hakeem Ahmed, believes the 22 NPP Members of Parliament who have lost their seats to new aspirants in the just ended primaries means people are not satisfied with the party’s leadership.

Some mighty names in the august House on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party have fallen as a result at the party's parliamentary primaries.

Notable names such as Dr Richard Anane, Isaac Osei, Addai-Nimo, Edward Anin and Elizabeth Agyemang are on the list of the shocking casualties.

Some members of parliament who will be missing after the 2016 elections are:

Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, MP for Bosomtwe
Hon. Richard Anane, MP Nhyiaeso constituency
Hon. W.O. Boafo, MP for Akropong
Hon Yaw Owusu Boateng, MP Assin Manso Akroso
Hon. Dr. Afriyie Owusu Akoto, MP for Kwadaso Constituency
Hon. Henry Kokofu, MP for Bantama Constituency
Hon. Elizabeth Agyemang, MP for Oforikrom Constituency
Hon. Edward Ening, MP for Obuasi East
Hon. Atta Boafo, MP for Adansi Fomena
Hon. Gifty Eugenia Kusi, MP for Tarkwa-Nsuaem constituency
Hon. Isaac Osei, MP for Subin constituency
Hon. Addae Nimo, MP for Mampong Constituency.

Commenting on these shake-ups within the NPP, the NDC communicator stated on Oman Fm’s National Agenda that it certainly is a sign that the opposition is in a declining state.

This means it is a done deal for President John Mahama and if the mighty men in NPP have fallen in the primaries, it means all is not well in the NPP; NPP is a party in decline….people are not satisfied with the leadership," he asserted.
