Lawyer Nana Yaw Osei, Aide and spokesperson for NPP’s National Chairman, Paul Afoko, has described Philip Addison, lead counsel in the 2012 Presidential Election Petition at the Supreme Court as an unfledged politician who needs more tuition.

According to him, Lawyer Addison, who is aspiring to be the New Patriotic Party (NPP's) parliamentary candidate for Korle Klottey, is not “discipline”, and called on the party leadership to question his (Addison's) recent utterances on party’s National Chairman and General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong.

Philip Addison alleged that - Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong are sabotaging the party’s presidential bid of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The duo have been accused of encouraging divisions within the party with their avid resolution to scuttle the party’s campaign to recapture power in 2016.

Even though their accusers have fallen short of giving clear instances to buttress their claims, Mr. Addison insists the perceptions cannot be discounted.

There is a perception out there that they are working against the presidential candidate and it is a very strong perception. The burden is on them to discharge that perception. The ball is in their court to prove otherwise,” He said

Responding to the claims on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie, Lawyer Nana Yaw Osei rubbished Addison’s assertion - “he should rather concentrate on his parliamentary ambition and stop the accusations. He is just trying to curry favour with Nana Addo’s fans but that will amount to anything”.

He told host Kwesi Aboagye that – “victory for election 2016 is not automatic for the NPP. NPP must rather work hard and stop the blame games”.

He therefore counselled his learned friend to “speak like an elderly person and be factual in his utterances. He must be trained on how to talk on radio”.

Afoko is really worried about all the happenings in the party. His aim is to win power for the party in 2016 not to sabotage anyone,” Lawyer Nana Yaw Osei said.
