General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC], Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has insisted that George Boateng who is expected to compete with President John Dramani Mahama in the party’s November 7, presidential primaries is – “Brainsick” and psychological evaluation.
He denied publications with picture evidence that the NDC’s Presidential candidate aspirant, George Boateng, has picked his nomination form at the party’s headquarters to challenge President Mahama.
“Since we [NDC] opened the nomination for the presidential election, no single person has come to my office for the form. I am the only person who can issue out the presidential form to candidates, with the parliamentary, candidates can go to their constituency secretary for the form. I was told yesterday [Monday] that George Boateng has visited the party office for the form…but I told my clerks to hold on because I am not at the office,” he said.
“It is never true that George Boateng has picked his nomination forms…even President Mahama has not been there for his form. No single person has picked the presidential election form. What Gorge is saying is not true,” Asiedu Nketiah added in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Montie".
Asiedu Nketiah Begged Me To Step Aside
In rebuttal on the same platform – the presidential aspirant rubbished his party’s chief scribe assertions – “Asiedu Nketiah should know that, I did not go for the form at the constituency office or Malata market in Accra, I went to the NDC’s national headquarters for the form with journalists to witness. He [Asiedu Nketiah] should verify”.
He however told host Kwasi Aboagye that – Johnson Asiedu Nketiah also known as “General Mosquito” – “Called me on phone begging me to step aside but I told him no. He [Asiedu Nketiah] thought I was joking with my ambition but realized I was serious when I picked my form.”
Bewildered by George Boateng’s accusations – General Mosquito insisted that George needs a rehab – “Seriously with immediate effect we must take this guy to Pantang [Mentally disabled health institution], something is really wrong with him.”
Asiedu Nketiah was empathic on NEAT FM that – “I have not spoken to this man [George Boateng]. I don’t even know his cell number”.
