The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says they will be paying for the damage done to its General Secretary’s (GS) car after it was smashed at the party’s headquarters.
After the incident, the party issued a statement condemning the act and promised to pay for the windscreen to be replaced.
But speaking in an interview on Peace FM morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, an aide to Kwabena Agyepong, Davis Opoku Ansah suggested that he (GS) will not be collecting the money.
According to him, the car that was smashed is insured and so there is no need to collect money from the party.
“Kwabena Agyepong is the General Secretary of the party; he is supposed to help the party make money and not the other way round. If he can get the money from his insurers why collect it from the party…” he indicated.
