Founder of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) has urged President John Dramani Mahama to immediately sack the Minister of Power, Kwabena Donkor.
οΏ½The President should sack him to show that he is in charge,οΏ½ he said.
Dr. Kwabena Donkor promised to bring the ever-worsening power crisis to an end by the end of 2015.
However, some energy experts are pessimistic since the energy crisis keeps deteriorating.
Even though Dr. Donkor has promised to resign if the power situation does not get better, Dr. Nduom says there is no need for the President to wait for the Energy Minister to resign; 'he should be sacked'.
According to him, he (Mahama) should have sacked him (Donkor) three months ago becauseοΏ½all his suggestions and advice to bring the power crisis to an end areοΏ½not working.
οΏ½He is not in a good position to advise the president on energy and he is obviously not in charge of the energy situation and so the President should sack him to show that he is in chargeοΏ½ he should have sacked the minister of power three months ago,οΏ½ he told Abeiku Santana on Okay FMοΏ½s Ekwanso Dwodwoo programm, Wednesday.
