The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the Peoples National Convention, Bala Maikankan has indicated that he does not envisage another vote for the NDC and NPP in the upcoming general elections given the poor work they keep doing when given the opportunity.

He noted that if the NDC or NDC win the 2016 elections despite the countless failed promise, he will recommend that the whole voting populace should be subjected to mental check up to verify whether the two major parties have implanted anything in their minds that forces them to vote against their own will.

According to him, a street survey gives a clear indication that the people of Ghana are fed up with the two major parties and therefore does not see why the same people will go to the polls and give the opportunity to either party come 2016.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with ghnews360.com, The PNC Chair indicated that given the confidence he has in the people of Ghana and their ability to make sound judgement on who should lead them, he will be extremely surprised if they don’t overlook the NDC and NPP come November 7th.

He pointed out the PNC under the leadership of Dr. Edward Mahama is the only way out of the pit the two parties have left the nation in.

“The PNC under the leadership Dr Edward Mahama provides the kind of visionary and inspirational leadership the nation dearly needs in this material moment”

“As a party, we have proven beyond reasonable doubt that we have the right programs and policies to push the nation forward and better the life of the people of Ghana”

What the NDC and NPP do when given the opportunity to govern the nation is to enrich the few individuals close to the corridors of power at the expense of the majority of Ghanaians". he alleged.

He therefore challenged Ghanaians to take inspiration from the people of Benin and look beyond the two parties and seek refuge in a third force.

“As a country, we must change until things get better and that includes making drastic changes at the helm of leadership”

He noted that the PNC is the brain behind major socially sensitive policies like the National Health Insurances, Free Basic and Secondary Education and National Youth Employment Program and should therefore be considered a worthy alternative to the NDC and NPP.

“Since the beginning of the fourth republic, all the major policies that are people-centred have been taken from the policy documents of our great party”

“Unfortunately, because the implementers are not the originators of the ideas, they struggle to sustain such programs”
“In view of this, the time is ripe for the originators to be given the chance to implement their ideas"

He concluded by calling on Ghanaians to prove to the political parties in the country that they cannot be taken for granted anymore.
