PNC General Secretary, Atik Mohammed has questioned President John Mahama's self-acclaimed "compassion", stressing the President has a strange compassionate heart.
He asked how compassionate President Mahama has been to Ghanaians amidst high tariffs and fuel prices in the nation.
Contributing to Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Atik Mohammed told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that the President's compassion is misplaced because he cannot portray same attitude towards his own citizens.
“When it came to the importation of terrorists; that is where the President found and discovered his compassion. That you are only compassionate to terrorists but your own citizens who voted for you; you find reasons why we should pay more."
According to him, several Ghanaians are really suffering under the current administration and are in desperate need of President John Mahama to ameliorate their plight.
"Internal displaced Ghanaians like the conflicts in Bawku and elsewhere. You have no idea. You have no idea of the [pain] misery they experiencing. “What have we done to help them? What have the President and his government done to help them? As for that, the President’s compassion vanished. This is a strange kind of compassion. That you are only compassionate to terrorists but your own citizenry, the compassion disappears.”
To him, President Mahama is only turning Ghana into a target to fulfill the campaign promise of US President, Barak Obama at the expense of his own people.
