Atik Mohammed, General Secretary of the People's National Convention (PNC) has expressed disappointment in the conduct of some of the journalists that were present at Tuesday's Presidential Press Briefing.

The press briefing occurred at the Flagstaff House and saw a section of the media posing questions to President John Dramani Mahama.

The questions bordered on various topics affecting the nation.

Speaking on Kokrokoo on Peace FM, Atik Mohammed held strongly that some of the media practitioners asked very "lousy" questions simply to impress the President.

He wondered if the journalists were there to do the bidding of the President or the citizenry because to him, some of the questions were pointless.

A lot of the questions were lousy in content and praising in intent…To the extent that someone said grade yourself. Another person also asked what keeps you awake. How do you deal with pressure? I mean these are very trivial to say the least. I don’t know any Ghanaian who will be interested in how the President is managing his personal pressure,” the PNC Gene Secretary stated.

And because the press failed to ask the relevant questions that Ghanaians expected; it afforded President John Mahama the luxury and "opportunity to give us in some cases also very lousy answers", he stressed.
