Atik Mohammed has called on government to heed the pleas of Organized Labour for a reduction in utility tariffs and fuel prices.

Organized Labour embarked on a nationwide demonstration on Wednesday to register their displeasure with the government.

According to the Labour force, the decisions by the government are potentially crippling their jobs and threatening their livelihood.

They remonstrated against the government hoping to see significant changes in the economy.

Commenting on the action by the Organized Labour, Atik Mohammed expressed concern over the recurrent demonstrations by them in addressing the government.

According to him, the numbers of demonstrators on Wednesday dwindled due to "demonstration fatigue"; something he explained stems from the government's refusal to listen to their grievances.

He noted that a large proportion of the Labour force is fed up with the decisions of the current administration because President John Mahama and his appointees have already indicated that they won't listen to them.

He however noted the difficulties that the increments pose to Ghanaians and so appealed to President John Mahama to reconsider the demands by the Labour groups so as to help them fend for their families.
