Kwesi Pratt has condemned Pastors who seek protection from the security agencies in the country.

According to Mr. Pratt, he does not see such a person as God's elect to be a "good Pastor", if he is spotted with an armed security escort.

He questioned the faith of such Pastors, asking whether they have lost hope in God to seek after a Police escort or any other armed human protection.

Kwesi Pratt, the Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, was commenting on the prophecy by TB Joshua that there will be some foreign attacks on Ghana and Nigeria during a panel discussion on PeaceFM's Kokrokoo show.

Mr. Pratt picked on the men of God for reasons he found sickening to him.

He recounted an incident where he was caught up in the midst of a heated altercation between a certain Pastor and workers of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.

He narrated that the Pastor who was supposed to be on one of programs at the broadcasting station had gone there with heavy Police escort, with one of the police personnel wielding an AK 47 gun.

The Pastor was refused entry into the premises of the station unless he the armed escort was not part of his entourage but he would not yield to their protestations resulting in a heated argument.

Mr. Pratt therefore condemned in no uncertain terms the culture of men of God who make request for security escorts.

What am I going to do in the church of a Pastor who needs armed Police bodyguard? It means God couldn’t protect him. The Pastor has lost hope in God. It’s true…A strong Pastor like that and it’s not prayer that’s safeguarding you but rather armed Policeman with AK 47 is protecting you. Are you a good Pastor?

Mr. Pratt also stressed that "it's a major security breach" for any Pastor to arrive from another country and be picked up on the tarmac at the airport.

"Why is that when a Pastor arrives from overseas, he has to be picked him up him on the tarmac?” he questioned.
