The Public Relations Officer for the Film Producers Association of Ghana, FIPAG, Michael Kwaku Ola has denied claims that he extorted money from individuals to help them join the NDC party.

Ola in a lengthy interview with Kojo Preko Danquah on Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa FM Saturday, said the report were false since he is now known for his political affiliation to the ruling National Democratic Congress.

“I haven’t taken money from anyone, the report is false since everybody knows my political affiliation now, but I know the trick, the person should have said I have been influenced with money to join the NDC, that will still not be true.

“But for him to say that I have taken money from some people to help them join NDC party, this doesn’t work, it beats my imagination since every political party needs members.”

FIPAG PRO has been in the news for throwing his weight behind the ruling NDC government.

He told Kojo Preko Danquah that though he joined the NDC party, he is not a staunch member, just that he’s of the view that President John Mahama deserves another term.

“Call any NDC member and ask if they have given Ola one pesewa, trust me you wouldn’t get anyone to even say he met me to have a conversation with me on Politics.

“When I started my movement I told them (NDC) to stay off because I’m not a staunch NDC member but I just think that I want to support this President to go for the second term and I don’t need money to make me do that, I don’t sell my conscience.”

Mr. Kwaku Ola, has been heard on political platforms, canvassing votes for the sitting President, John Dramani Mahama.

According to the FIPAG PRO, in 2012 he joined Akufo Addo’s campaign but never took a dime from them.

“I was raised in a Zongo community and I was an NPP person.”

He noted that reports that he collected one million Ghana cedis from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture were all cooked reports to tarnish his reputation.

Ola is currently the PRO for FIPAG and also the communications director of a group called National Faithfuls For Mahama, and their subsidiary in Ashanti Region also called Ashanti Faithfuls For Mahama.
