We take note of the decision by the Electoral Commission to reject the nomination of 12 persons for the 2016 presidential election.
In as much as we agree that the right things be done in the management of our elections, we express our sympathies with the candidates whose nominations have been rejected despite their efforts to meet the requirements of the law.
We hope that the legal process, if any, will resolve expeditiously any issues arising from the Electoral Commission’s decision.
The consolidation of Ghanaian democracy requires that principles of justice and fairness govern all aspects of our electoral process.

The EC said the person is on the exclusion list. All Ghanaian should that the exclusion list is available to all political parties. They were supposed to use the list in conjunction with the voters register to avoid this embarrassment. They did not do that and now they want to blame the EC? I dont know what fair process people are talking about. All the issues bother on fraud, not administrative and that is what we should be talking about and not trying to condemn the EC chair. Running a party is not about organizing Waakye party or koko party. I am Mr Ivor Greenstreet, who is a former General secretary, has confirm that the process is a very tedious one and should have been taken serious.
Question is if NPP or NDC made any of these mistakes, will the EC disqualify them? We want peace ooooo shallort osie!
The earlier this woman called Charlotte Osei is stopped in her tracks the better before she plunges this nation into the abyss. She has not been fair at all to the likes of Dr. E.N. Mahama (not the joker) and Dr. PK. Nduom especially the latter and Mrs. Rawlings. The reasons ascribed to their disqualifications do not make sense and has no basis in law. For instance, the EC can't punish Mrs. Rawlings if they (the EC) have done multiple registrations for voters. Btw was this not the same EC who said the Electoral Roll is clean and even used the police to visit mayhem on LMVC demonstrators for asking for a fresh register? Let's pray for this country to be great again. #MahamaTwaso#
Some of the reasons are trivial and does not warrant disqualification of the candidates. How can a candidate know that the voter endorsing him/her has registered twice? If this happens to NDC or NPP candidate what will happen? EC must be fair to all parties and allow some of the errors to be corrected and candidates reinstated.
