An Accra High Court has thrown out Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings' suit challenging her disqualification by the Electoral Commission of Ghana on procedural grounds.
The flagbearer for the National Democratic Party (NDP) was disqualified after the Electoral Commission said she failed to collect the 432 signatures of qualified voters, a requirement of Regulation 7 (2) (b) of CI 94.
She therefore sent the case to court but was unfortunate to have the case struck out by Justice Goerge Koomson at the High Court.
According to the presiding judge, it is against procedures of court to file a joint application imploring the EC's decision to be reviewed and at the same time demand for the enforcement of the Presidential candidate's fundamental human right to vote and be voted for.
For this reason, the court fined the applicant an amount of GHC10,000 and described the suit as incompetent.

I do not think some of these loud mouth legal counch experts in the comfort of their homes understand the legal system and in particular the legal technicalities and the role of judges ; the case of Nana Konadu has not been thrown out entirely per se ; there were technical faults with the reliefs sort and all the judge did was to tell to them that;the same is what the EC did but in the case of the EC it flouted the constitution and overuled its own rules ; the EC is not above the constituion of Ghana ; the judge was right because he could not deal with the dual reliefs that they sort from the court ; Ace Ankomah has every right to rephrase his relief demands again because it is allowed under the court rules ; the Judge could easily have ruled on on the subtantive relief sort about the inadequate number of subscribers and the issue of the time issued by the EC to call back candidates to amend their application forms ; to me the case of Human Rights as grounds was irrelevant and a waste of of time ; the point is never underestimate Ace Ankomah because his reputation is on the line besides this idea that one is good at explaining the law means the person must be good at presenting a case before a judge is incorrect; that is why in the UK we have barristers and solicitors some solicitors are extremely good at presenting a case in court to a judge and some barriters are very bad and are unable to catch the eye of a judge ; Ace Ankomah is just like a doctor who is good at telling all his patients about the ills of smoking and drinking but then when he goes home smokes and drinks ; Ace Ankomah can explain the nitty greety of the law like a lectuer but that does not mean Ace Ankomah can easily win a case in Court ; the same is the problem with have with our economy today ; you have these so called economist with these big masters and Phd degrees m but when apointed to do manage the economy cannot dot it ; alrthough the call themselves econommist ;-FiFi Kwettey and Amissah -Arthur they are hust uless people ; the same does not work that way in the legal system; David Annan talks so eloquently about law with regards to NDC but the question is how many cases has he won in court before -ZERO !!!!!!!.
I didn't know a member of Occupy Ghana, the apostles of competence, with their lieutenant Ace Ankomah, can make an incompetent application on such an important case. I congratulate the Judge, and Thaddeus Sory who is no doubt a fantastic advocate...who knows all his rules. It would have been embarrassing if this case proceeded beyond this stage and consequently reported. It would have been a 'disaster' in our jurisprudence. Ace Ankomah might have been overtaken by 1)emotions, and 2) the 'fans'from the teaming supporters of NDP. Is a shame.
ACE ANKOMA AND NANA KONADU CANNOT THINK FAR!!! THEY R VERY INCOMPETENT SAYS THE JUDGE!!
EEII KONADU HMMM UPON ALL YOUR COMPETENCE YOU ARE CUT AND FINED TO SIZES YOOOO. TAKE MY ADVICE USE THAT YOUR SO CALLED COMPETENCE TO REVALVE YOUR COMPANIES SUCH AS NSAWAM CANNING, OIL PROCESSING COMPANY AT KPONG OPPOSITE ASOGLI JUNCTION ETC IF YOU HAVE ANY OF COMPETENCES."ABRO NTI" YOU SEE YOUR LEVEL?
Has the case been really thrown out? Ghanaians don't read or otherwise do not understand court proceedings.
ACE ANKOMAH IS VERY COMPETENT IN TALKING, VERY COMPETENT IN SUIT AND SHOES, VERY COMPETENT ON RADIO TALK BUT VERY VERY VERY INCOMPETENT IN FILING A CASE, IN FACT VERY VERY INCOMPETENT IN HIS OWN PROFESSION AS A LAWYER. INDEED TALK IS CHEAP.
I thought Ace Ankomah was all knowing. They are only good at criticinsing
Hmmmmm mekpor menyakpor nam o ko, mede nku di. JM yidzi la; JM Toaso; JM kordo demaaa

Ace Ankumah is deliberately delaying the court. he knows what he id doing. He will never support Nana Konadu. Ace is friends with the EC Boss. He is too smart to file a case wrongly.
