A presidential staffer and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ningo-Prampram Constituency, Sam George, has described as hollow the manifesto of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He is therefore calling on Ghanaians to treat it with contempt and reject the NPP, since the implementation of their message will only send the country back as regards development.

He observed in an interview with myradio360 that whiles the NDC manifesto talks about creating about 400 direct and indirect jobs under the Economic Transformation and Livelihood empowerment program, the NPP’s talks about one district, one factory and one village, one dam, without clear policies on how it would execute them.

“NDC’s ideas are real policies and has substance, a government cannot decide to turn the country into a manufacturing hub without equipping the youth with the requisite skills. And that’s what the NDC intends to do”, he said.

According to him, running a country is a serious business and wondered why electorates will reject President Mahama for Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo who is no match for the former in terms of leadership experience.

He said the President has shown commitment to transforming Ghana so much that, he can only be likened to Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President.

He indicated that the NPP in 8 years built only 218 new basic schools but the NDC has done 1, 800 basic schools, 70 Senior High Schools and 2 public universities.

Sam George said the NDC has built one (1) new medical facility, four (4) regional hospitals, three (3) institutional hospitals, 31 district hospitals and many more but the NPP did only eight (8) new district hospitals and some CHIPS compound.

He noted that the NDC has added 18 percent of portable water, 30 percent of power to the national grid, constructed 4, 800 kilometers of road, upgraded two airports to international status and building another one at the Volta region while the NPP did 4 percent of portable water, 6 percent of power to national grid and constructed 1, 700 kilometers of roads.
